Overview

Mequon Festivals Committee was created in 2013 to enhance community fellowship and fun. It was established to create, plan, and coordinate events within the city, with an emphasis on utilizing the Mequon City Hall / Town Center Civic Plaza.

The inaugural TASTE OF MEQUON event took place on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in front of Mequon City Hall, Cedarburg Road. Now in its 10th year, the TASTE has on average 10,000-12,000 attendees each year.

Mequon Festivals Committee also organizes a Winter Wonderland event in December, opening the holiday season with holiday music by local choirs, and visits with Santa Claus at the historic Isham Day House. This holiday event has hot food and beverages, bonfires, cookie decorating, ornament making, a gingerbread bounce house, and horse-drawn carriage rides.
